Crosswalk PLUS Video Devotional

We serve a God whose counsel stands forever. God has fulfilled his own decrees long before you and I were born and He's going to continue to do that throughout history long after we're gone in His timing, for His purpose, and for His glory.

Open our eyes, dear Lord, help us to see those in need and show us how we can show them your love, whether they're poor financially or poor in spirit, whether they are poor because they don't have a family around them, or they're poor because they have no hope. Help us to show them your love today in Jesus' name, Amen.

It's important that we continuously evaluate where we're spending our time at every age and stage under the lens of God's wisdom.

Father, I thank You that You believe in me. You're the one who put the dreams inside of me. I'm asking that You would me believe in myself the way You believe in me, so that we can both see Your purposes and plans for my life.

If you want your life to reflect Christ in a way that draws your children, your grandchildren, or others to know your Savior, or even just to walk in relationships where people can trust you, I dare you to get before the Lord and ask, 'Am I reasonable?'

We are to pray for those in authority over us. This could be our pastor of our church, who has spiritual authority over us. This could be a boss of our company or the CEO of the company.

Father, I thank you that I'm made in your image - a creator, just like you! I ask that you would give me mental clarity and creativity, that I would be able to seek and find opportunities around me that would lead to my success.

God is not calling us to more acts of religious fervor; He's asking us to live out our faith in an honorable way that pleases Him. That shines brightly His character; that glorifies Him. And when we live like that, He can trust us to spread the hope of the gospel.

We try to cover things up in our hearts, and these verses can help us see the danger in this... and allow God to correct our hearts.

No matter what happens, in all circumstances, we are to give thanks because when we practice this gratitude over and over, it actually encourages us to continue to do this.

Father, thank you for the good work you have begun in me. I know my life would never be complete if you didn't do that. Lord, I'm asking that you would help me recognize the people you have placed in my life along the way. Give me the humility to reach out to them for help.

The three characteristics that God values are unpacked in this verse... the first one is being poor in spirit, humility, humble.

Dear Lord, help us not to be fearful of serving you. Please help us to have a healthy fear of you. To walk in all your ways and to know there are many different ways that we as Christians walk, and to love and serve with one another, and serve you with all our hearts in Jesus' name. Amen.

He is a gracious, merciful, and compassionate God who meets us in our overwhelm, in our uncertainty, and strengthens our souls to acknowledge our fears but to choose to move by faith.
